The 'Go Project' encourages parents/carers and their children to play together, be more active and learn skills developed through interactive play, whilst promoting eating more fruit and vegetables to contribute to a healthier future. The growth of such basic skills is considered as being essential to encourage wellbeing and progress communication and interaction. These abilities are also beneficial for young children to acclimatise to a pre-school environment. The Go Project can be used in both the classroom and at home. Each of the 30 different Take Home Go Bags contains a piece of equipment and a Take Home Activity Card with ideas on how to use the equipment. The Take Home Activity Cards have been developed by practitioners and are ideally suited to aid young children while interacting with their parents/carers to develop and master essential skills required to initiate a healthy and active start in life. The objectives are aligned to the Change4Life campaign.
